Prescription drugs taken during break-in at Benson pharmacy
BENSON -- Thieves got away with prescription drugs and money during a break-in early Friday morning at a Benson pharmacy.
It's believed the burglar, or burglars, entered the Breen's Pharmacy building through a rooftop air duct between 4:30 and 6 a.m. Friday.
Police were called to the scene at 6:03 a.m.
Benson Police Chief Jim Crace said he believes the individuals involved are of a "slender build in order to be able to slide through the air vent."
After taking numerous prescription narcotics, other medications and money, the suspects are believed to have exited the building by breaking the glass door on the front of the business, said Crace in a news release.
The crime in Benson has similar facts to a burglary of a pharmacy in Dawson that happened Sept. 25.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Benson Police Department.
