Granite Falls man, 90, ejected from vehicle in one-vehicle accident

GRANITE FALLS — A 90-year-old man suffered injuries after he lost control of his vehicle and was ejected from it as it went into a ditch embankment in Yellow Medicine County on Tuesday.

Harold Landmark, Granite Falls, was transported by ambulance to the Granite Falls Hospital following the accident near the intersection of 490th Street and 310th Avenue in Stony Run Township north of Granite Falls at 12:05 p.m., the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Landmark was traveling north on 490th Street and approaching 310th Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle. It skid into the ditch embankment of east bound 310th Avenue.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and ejected.

The case remains under investigation by the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office.

Along with the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office the Minnesota State Patrol, Granite Falls Ambulance and Granite Falls Fire Department responded to the accident scene.
