Showers and thunderstorms to move across WC Minn. this morning

The National Weather Service said a couple areas of showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the southern half of Minnesota this morning.

One band will travel over west central and central Minnesota this morning. The area includes roughly from Canby to Montevideo and Willmar and moving towards St. Cloud, Monticello and Princeton through mid-morning.

A larger area of showers and isolated storms will move through south central and southeast Minnesota. The area includes roughly from near Redwood Falls, Morgan, St. James, Mankato, Blue Earth, Albert Lea and Waseca, then moving toward Faribault, Northfield, Hastings, Red Wing and the Mississippi River by mid-morning.

The rain will move northeast at 40 mph, with rainfall totals expected to be less than 0.1 of an inch.
