Belgrade man, 21, faces burglary charge

WILLMAR -- A 21-year-old Belgrade man made his first court appearance Friday on three felony charges of burglary and theft for allegedly breaking into a building on a rural Belgrade farm site and stealing tools and a firearm.

Unconditional bail was set at $30,000 for Bo Brian Anderson. His next appearance in Kandiyohi County District Court is June 4.

According to the complaint, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office was called May 1 regarding a burglary at a Belgrade farm site.

A total of $450 in tools and a Savage 17-caliber rifle were missing from a garage that was used as a shop and office.

Anderson, who was held in the county jail by a Department of Corrections warrant for violating the conditions of his supervised release in other case, was interviewed Wednesday.

He allegedly admitted to taking the tools and the gun.

He said another individual had the weapon and was with him during the burglary.

The other individual was interviewed Thursday and admitted to serving as a lookout for Anderson while he committed the burglary. The man said Anderson took the tools, while he took the gun and stored it at a friend's home. He refused to name the friend.
