Area individuals injured in Wabasha County crash

ZUMBRO FALLS – Individuals from Kandiyohi and Cosmos were injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Zumbro Falls in Wabasha County.

According to the State Patrol, A 2008 Subaru Impreza driven by Taylor Charles Alsleben, 20, of Cosmos, was going west on Highway 60 and attempted to cross Highway 63 when it was struck by a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan that had the right-of-way.

Alsleben and a passenger, Bailey Alice Sunquist, 17, of Kandiyohi, were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, Chase Gregory Arndt, 16, of Cosmos, was not injured.

The driver of the minivan, Carol Joy Kamper, 76, of Rochester, and a passenger, Reuben Merle Kamper, 77, of Rochester, were not injured.

All parties were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol.

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene of the accident, which was reported at 4:48 p.m.
