Woman injured in Lac qui Parle County crash
MADISON – A woman was injured Sunday afternoon when her vehicle collided with a semi in Lac qui Parle County.
According to the State Patrol, a 2006 Nissan Altima, driven by Kalie Lynn Molden, 24, of Milan, was going west on U.S. Highway 212 in Garfield Township and was attempting to pass a westbound 1998 Freightliner.
The semi had slowed down and was making a left-hand turn into a driveway when it was struck by the Altima.
Molden was taken to the Dawson Hospital by the Madison Ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi, Anthony Joseph Polzine, 48, of Marietta, was not injured.
The road was wet at the time of the accident, which was reported at 4:20 p.m. Seatbelts were worn by all parties, according to the State Patrol.
