Early morning robbery reported

WILLMAR — A woman reported that she had been robbed by two men around 4:30 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Mary Avenue and Sixth Street Southeast.

The woman said the men confronted her and her friend, that one of them grabbed her by the hair and that she dropped her purse. She and her friend fled from the scene.

Two injured in Renville County crash

MORTON — Two people were treated at Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls for minor injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash around 11:40 a.m. Friday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 19.

According to the State Patrol, Lyndon Woelfel, 62, of Bird Island, was driving a 2009 Chevy Silverado northbound on Highway 71. Hayley Setzer, 22, of Wayne, Neb., was driving a 1998 Honda Civic westbound on Highway 19, stopped at the stop sign and continued to go southbound on Highway 71 and was struck by the pickup.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital. A passenger in Woelfel’s vehicle, Nicholas Woelfel, 31, of Olivia, was not injured. Also responding was the Renville County Sheriff’s Office and North Memorial Ambulance.

Dog bite

KANDIYOHI — A sheriff’s deputy was bitten by a dog while attempting to serve an arrest warrant around 1:30 p.m. Friday along the 1300 block of 105th Street Southeast.


ATWATER — A 23-year-old man was arrested on a warrant and for possession of stolen property around 11 a.m. Friday along the 2400 block of Kandi-Meeker Road.

PRINSBURG — A 38-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving while impaired and driving after revocation around 10 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Sixth Street and State Highway 7.

WILLMAR — A 22-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving after revocation around 7:20 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Litchfield Avenue and Gay Street Southeast.

WILLMAR — A 36-year-old woman was arrested on charges of drug possession, driving while impaired and open bottle around 11:50 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Highway 12 and 30th Street Southwest.

Property damage

WILLMAR — Damage to car windows was reported around noon Friday along the 800 block of Northwood Court Northwest.


WILLMAR — An assault was reported around 11 p.m. Thursday at the Kandiyohi County Jail, 2201 23rd St. N.E.
