Revised MN outlook still finds some floods likely

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- An updated spring flood outlook finds there's still a strong chance of major flooding in Montevideo, Delano and downtown St. Paul.

The National Weather Service on Friday listed an 80 percent chance of major flooding in Montevideo on the Minnesota River -- unchanged from last month's outlook.

Chances of major flooding remain about 60 percent in Delano on the Crow River's south fork.

In downtown St. Paul, the chance of major flooding on the Mississippi River has increased to 70 percent, up from last month's outlook of 60 percent. The updated forecast indicates an 80 percent chance of at least moderate flooding in downtown St. Paul.

On the Minnesota River, Granite Falls' chances of major flooding are just under 5 percent. But there's a 30 percent of moderate flooding.
