Update: Willmar man killed in Cosmos crash

COSMOS -- The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed in a one-vehicle crash Monday along State Highway 4 south of Cosmos as Brandon James Binger, 27, of Willmar.

The crash was discovered around 11:20 a.m. Monday and was investigated by State Patrol and the Meeker County Sheriff's office. According to the State Patrol, Binger was last seen Saturday in Winthrop and it is unknown how long he was in the ditch.

According to a news release from Sheriff Jeff Norlin, the 1996 Chevrolet Corsica crashed into a drainage ditch near the intersection of Highway 4 and county Road 7. Binger was ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Sibley County on Saturday.
