State Patrol reports no serious, fatal crashes in winter storm
WILLMAR -- According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there have been 94 crashes, eight with injuries between 5 and 10 a.m. statewide in this winter storm.
According to the State Patrol, there haven't been any serious or fatal crashes, 202 vehicles off road or spun out and three jackknife incidents.
In the Twin Cities metro area for the same time period, there were 73 crashes, six with injuries, 139 vehicles off road or spun out and one jackknife incident.
"Road conditions vary throughout the metro and statewide," said State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske. "Many of the crashes and spin-outs we've seen are the result of people driving too fast. Motorists need to be aware of the conditions and adjust their speed accordingly especially now that the morning rush is over."
