Taggers hit downtown area

WILLMAR -- Willmar police recorded numerous reports of gang graffiti in the downtown area between 11 p.m. Wednesday and the early morning hours Thursday. Damage was also done along the 300 block of 14th Street Southwest, under the First Street Bridge and near the intersection of Eighth Street and Benson Avenue Southwest. An additional report was made around 9:30 a.m. Thursday along the 1500 block of Litchfield Avenue Southeast.


WILLMAR -- A garage burglary was reported around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 900 block of Trott Avenue Southeast. Tools and a computer monitor were missing from the building.

WILLMAR -- A home burglary was reported around 8 p.m. along the 600 block of 15th Street Southwest. The caller reported $500 cash was missing from the home.

WILLMAR -- A home burglary was reported around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday along the 1400 block of Lakeland Drive Northeast. A flat screen television, stereo, DVD player, microwave and computer were missing.


RAYMOND -- A 31-year-old Raymond woman was arrested for domestic assault around 6 p.m. Wednesday along Second Street.

Property damage

WILLMAR -- A vehicle that had been "keyed" was reported around 6:46 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Third Street Southwest.


SVEA -- A case of fraud was reported around 8:30 a.m. Thursday along 125th Avenue Southeast. The caller reported someone in Illinois had charged more than $700 on their check card.

WILLMAR -- The theft of an MP3 player, valued at $125, was reported around noon Thursday at the Alternative Learning Center, 512 Eight Street Southwest. The player had been stolen on Oct. 14.

WILLMAR -- The theft of contact lenses was reported around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at a Kandi Mall business. A juvenile female suspect has been identified.
