I have a newsflash for the Kandiyohi County, Lake Andrew Township, New London-Spicer and Minnesota legislative "dolts" who analyze and set annual residential market values and property taxes.
Homes throughout the U.S. are selling for less, not more! There is a glut of residential properties and foreclosures are at an all time high and continuing, not subsiding. The resale value of homes has gone down not up.
Market valuations should be decreased, not increased. You have gotten it backwards again.
To increase the market value of my home $75,000 in 2010 and increase the property tax 17.8 percent is another example of out of control spending.
Local and state leadership, planning and vision for the future involve much more than beating the financial hell out of the homeowner each year.
