New London man escapes injury in Highway 23 crash
ST. JOSEPH — A New London man escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident Thursday night in Stearns County that sent the driver of a second vehicle to the hospital.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened at around 8:50 p.m. on state Highway 23 in St. Joseph's Township.
A 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue, driven by Kenneth Cossette, 63, of Pelican Rapids had exited Interstate 94 onto Highway 23, stopped for a stop sign and then pulled out in front of a 1996 Ford Mustang driven by Alec Deschepper, 21, of New London, that was traveling west on Highway 23.
Cossette was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
A passenger, Pamela Slifka, 63, of Pelican Rapids, was not injured.
