ATWATER — Jacolby Anderson was 3-for-3 with a home run, Justin Schroeder knocked in three runs and Michael Malvin threw seven-plus effective innings Monday to help the Atwater Chuckers double up the Norway Lake-Sunburg Lakers 8-4 in a County Line League game.

Jeff Peterson scored the first of his three runs in the first inning to give Atwater a quick 1-0 lead before Anderson homered to left leading off the second.

Justin Schroeder then doubled in Peterson in the third and the Chuckers struck for five more runs in the fifth to take commanding 8-0 lead.

That was more than enough for Malvin, who worked into the eight, scattering seven hits, four earned runs, five walks and six strikeouts.

Chad Searcy was 3-for-5 and Jessie Engler and Kyle Baker added two hits each for the Lakers.
