WILLLMAR -- Two days of frustration at its own Willmar Bus Cup ended for the Willmar Cardinals with a 6-2 win over Mankato East/Loyola on Wednesday at the Civic Center Cardinal Arena.

Six different players scored for Willmar (3-5): Matt Odom, Paul Schrupp, Liam Johnston, Trent Fader, Jake Sobieck and Rory Schneider.

Jay Bredberg picked up three assists and Gabe Amon a pair.

Willmar outshot each opponent in the three-day Bus Cup Tournament, but had been unable to finish around the net. The Cardinals fell 2-1 to River Lakes on Monday and 4-3 to Fargo Shanley on Tuesday.

But Leitch stopped Seth Allan from 20 feet moments later on another one-man rush this time snapping up the puck with his glove.
