NLS gets knocked out by Pelican Rapids

MINNEAPOLIS -- The New London-Spicer boys basketball team was knocked out of the state Class AA boys basketball tournament Wednesday with a 71-56 loss to undefeated Pelican Rapids in the quarterfinal round at Williams Arena.

Tydan Storrusten, the Vikings' leading scorer, missed all but about three minutes of first half, but came back in the second to finish with 15 points. Jan-Erik Lindberg scored 20 points, with all six of his field goals coming from three-point range.

Jay Moten paced the Wildcats (23-9) with 15 points. Jayme Moten added 11 and Aaron Jenny had 10.
