Prep Baseball: NLS thumps LPGE, 9-0

NEW LONDON -- Luke Reiter hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to cap off New London-Spicer's 9-0 win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in a West Central North Conference game on Tuesday.

NLS opened up the scoring in the bottom of third inning with three run-scoring doubles.

Reiter, who also had a single and double in four trips, surrendered four hits in 4Zc scoreless innings for the win. Kevin Soine did not allow a hit over the final 2Xc innings, while striking out six.

Soine and Luke Peterson had two hits each for the Wildcats.

LPGE's Chris Whalen was 2-for-3, including a double and a triple.
