Prep Baseball: NLS rumbles past Albany, 10-4

ALBANY -- New London-Spicer scored four runs in the fifth inning en route to a 10-4 win over Albany in West Central North baseball action Friday.

The Wildcats (5-3, 5-4) broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth on RBI singles from Andrew Clancy and Luke Peterson, plus a bases-loaded walk drawn by Caleb Friedrich and a sacrifice fly from Billy Dean.

NLS added three runs in the seventh as Peterson and Kevin Soine had RBI singles.

Jack Schwaegerl started for the Wildcats on the mound, but was hit in the hand by a batted ball in the second inning and was replaced by Clancy, who earned the win.
