Prep Softball: Homers spark MACCRAY

HECTOR -- Brandi Bodin and Khia Lohse hit back-to-back home runs during a four-run sixth inning as MACCRAY upended Buffalo Lake-Hector 5-2 in a non-conference softball game on Tuesday.

With the score tied 1-1, Lohse put the Wolverines (9-4) ahead 3-1 with a two-run homer. Bodin followed with a solo shot.

Alicia Koenen weathered five walks in 1Zc innings for the win in relief. Ashley Trulock finished with 1Xc innings of hitless relief for the save. Starter Bethany Hultgren gave up four hits and two runs in four innings. She walked two and struck out seven.

Jessie Kalenberg and Michaela Wolff each had a double for the Mustangs (1-14).
