Willmar Rails rally past Paynesville
PAYNESVILLE -- Matt Seehusen rapped a two-run double with two outs in the top of the seventh inning and Willmar went on to defeat Paynesville 7-5 in a Cornbelt League baseball game on Sunday.
Darren Ditterich picked up the win on the hill for the Rails. He gave up seven hits and four runs over seven innings, while walking three and striking out two. Matt Seehusen pitched the last two innings for the save.
Seehusen was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Matt Sagedahl, Jason Otte and Matt Schiller also had two hits each.
Derek Stanger and Adam Miller had two hits each for the Pirates (3-5, 3-5).

Willmar held off New London-Spicer in the ninth inning to take a 7-5 win on Friday night at Bill Taunton Stadium.
The Twins had already scored two runs in the top of the ninth and had the bases loaded -- all without the benefit of a hit -- when Jason Scheffler entered in relief and got the final out on a fly out to right field.
Anthony Stern worked the first 51/3 innings for the win. He allowed four hits and three runs, while walking two and striking out five. Troy Ditterich pitched 22/3 innings of scoreless relief. Matt Schiller started the ninth and got two outs before Scheffler came on.
Lane Kleist had three hits and Jason Otte two for Willmar.
Ben Kulset went the distance for the Twins, who hurt themselves with seven errors.

The Islanders got their first win on the strength of a five-run fifth inning. Shawn Dollerschell whacked a two-run double, followed by a Ben Aaseth run-scoring single to highlight the big inning.
Jesse Bjur got the win, hurling six innings and allowing three hits and three earned runs. He walked seven and struck out one before Eric Gass pitched three scoreless innings for the save, allowing two hits.
