SACRED HEART -- Sacred Heart pushed across 10 runs in the third inning to blow away Hector 11-1 on Tuesday in American Legion baseball.

Adam Loe cruised on the hill for Sacred Heart. He gave up three hits in the five-inning game. He struck out 10 and walked four. Hector scored in the fifth to avoid the shutout.

Both teams are now 1-1. Sacred Heart lost Monday night at Madison, 6-2. Hector Legion opened last Thursday with a 2-0 win over Morgan.

Sacred Heart's 10-run inning included a pair of hits by Dakota Freiborg, the second a two-run double. The Sacred Heart catcher finished 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Losing pitcher Andy Fisher allowed six hits and 10 runs but only four were earned. A three-run outfield error contributed to the runaway score.

Paul Peterson had a pair of hits for Sacred Heart. Trent Novotny, Steve Gens and Mitch Agre each had one hit each.

Joe Kubesh, Trevor Albrcht and Tyler Richards had the Hector safeties.
