MACCRAY wins semifinal, advances to state championship game

CHASKA - MACCRAY topped Hawley 7-1 in the semifinals of the state Class A baseball tournament today, securing a berth in the championship game Friday against Wabasha-Kellogg.

The title game will be start at approximately 5:30 p.m. at Chaska Athletic Park.

Ethan Pauling threw 6-plus innings for the win. It is the Wolverines' first trip to the state tournament.

MACCRAY beat Browerville/Eagle Valley 10-2 in the quarterfinals earlier in the day.

Kelly Siverhus picked up the first-game win, pitching the first four innings. Jordan Smith threw the last three innings for the save. Caleb Hanson went 4-for-4 at the plate.
