VFW Baseball: Swoyer strikes out 15 in 3-2 Willmar victory

WILLMAR -- Nathaniel Swoyer struck out 15 batters in Willmar's 3-2 win over Morris in VFW baseball on Friday.

Swoyer earned the complete-game victory by scattering three hits and surrendering no earned runs. He kept the ball around the strike zone as he walked only two Morris hitters.

Ryan Lawler led the Willmar offense by cracking a double and scoring two runs. Jacob Damhof drove in a run.

Morris' Eric Riley was saddled with the loss despite pitching six innings and surrendering seven hits. He gave up three earned runs, walked three and struck out four.

Ryan Beyer had two of Morris' three hits with a double and a triple. Tyler Hansen had the other hit for Morris.
