Amateur Baseball: Knott's 2-hitter to lift Raymond past Lakers
RAYMOND -- Tyler Knott tossed a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Raymond routed Norway Lake-Sunburg 8-0 in a Cornbelt League amateur baseball game Friday night.
Mike Kragenbring rapped a two-run in the third inning and Tyler Steen had a two-run double in the fourth.
Ben Ruter went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs for the Rockets (9-1, 16-2). Steen, Kyle Knott, Shawn Thissen had two hits each for Raymond.

Ryan Walsh tripled in two runs in the sixth inning to spark Atwater in its first night game in 12 years.
Bird Island led 2-0 before Atwater tied the game on a two-run single by Luke Wallace in the fourth inning.
Leading 4-2 after Vance Martin and and Michael Malvin drove in runs, Walsh swatted a line-drive triple to the opposite field to knock in two runs.
Bird Island scored twice in the top of the ninth to cut the margin to 6-4.
Justin Schroeder earned the win, giving up three hits and two runs in seven innings of work. He walked five and struck out seven. Malvin finished for the save.
Martin had two hits for the Chuckers.
Andy Dollerschell, Shawn Dollerschell, Ben Aaseth and Josh Retzlaff drove in runs for Bird Island.
