Amateur Baseball: Lakers outslug Twins

SPICER — Norway Lake-Sunburg banged out 15 hits and New London-Spicer helped the cause with 12 walks in the Lakers’ 14-6 County Line League victory on Friday at Green Lake Diamond.

The Lakers led 4-3 through six innings but then erupted for six runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth.

Chris Braaten picked up the win, working six innings.

Jonah Johnson, Justin Johnson, James Cortez, Braaten, Kyle Baker and Jordan Engler all drove in two runs for the Lakers.

Braaten and Baker both had three-hit nights.

 The Twins’ Dean Stier drove in three runs but also took the loss. Jake Damhof drove in a pair of runs.
