MILROY -- Christopher Eichten singled in the winning run with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning and Milroy nipped Willmar 2-1 in a Cornbelt League amateur baseball game on Sunday.

The win avenged a 1-0 loss to Willmar earlier this season.

Jason Scheffler then held Milroy in check until giving up the tying run in the eighth on a run-scoring single by Brian Dolan. Milroy left the bases loaded.

The Yankees then scored the game-winner when Andy Schmidt singled. Andy Hadley's sacrifice bunt was thrown away and there were runners on second and third. David Anderson relieved and intentionally walks Dean Zwach to load the bases before Eichten single to right field to score Schmidt.

Andy Rohlik pitched the first eight innings for Milroy, allowing eight hits and one run, while walking one and striking out nine. Josh Hadley picked up the win in relief.
