Girls Tennis: Litchfield edges Crookston

ST. CLOUD -- Litchfield won the first three singles matches and then picked up a much-needed point at 2-doubles to edge Crookston 4-3 in a non-conference girls tennis match on Saturday.

Because of wet conditions, the scheduled Litchfield Invite was postponed. Instead, Litchfield and Crookston played a dual match at Gold's Gym in St. Cloud.

Ellie Black prevailed in straight sets at 1-single for the the Dragons (5-7). Alissa Holmgren and Rachel Fredman followed with straight-set wins at 2- and 3-singles, respectively. Brittany Berning and Emma Lemke teamed up to win in straight sets at 2-doubles.

Litchfield plays at Delano today in a Wright County Conference match that was postponed last Thursday.
