WILLMAR -- In Ridgewater's last tuneup before the playoffs, the Warriors dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Riverland on Monday.

The Warriors finish the regular season with a 6-8 record in the MCAC South and 13-16 overall.

Although Ridgewater lost both games, head coach Dennis Boe said the Warriors played well.

"It was really good playoff-type baseball," Boe said. "Both games were really well pitched. They got hits when they needed and we stranded more runners than we like."

The Warriors open the playoffs 4:30 p.m. Friday at Rochester in a best-of-three series.

Game Two, and if necessary, Game Three, will be Saturday at Rochester.

Game One

Riverland 6, Ridgewater 3
