College Volleyball: Ridgewater sweeps up another division win

AUSTIN -- The Ridgewater College Lady Warriors upped their record on 3-0 in the MCAC South and 6-1 overall with a 25-12, 25-7, 25-11 conquest of Riverland College on Saturday.

"Our offense was very efficient; we served strong and defended well," commented Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth

"Riverland had some mistakes on their end, some of which we dictated. We had contributions from the entire team, which is always excellent to see. It was a great way to wrap up a busy week on the road."

Cassie Ziemer led a balanced Ridgewater attack by collecting 8 kills and 3 ace blocks. Taylor Sharpe guided the offense with her 29 assists and Kelsey Stommes added 5 kills.

The team returns to the road Wednesday at St. Cloud to play the Technical College Cyclones.
