PRINSBURG — Central Minnesota Christian's boys basketball team overpowered a smaller Renville County West team 76-33 in a Camden Conference game Tuesday night.

The Jaguars held the lead early in the first half but the Bluejays continued to work the paint and eventually found success there.

CMCS was also able to take advantage of second-chance opportunities by outrebounding RCW by a 43-19 margin. Ethan Brouwer led the way with 11 rebounds.

CMCS rounded out the first half with a 38-23 lead and saw an improvement in their defense in the second half. They posted an identical 38 points in the latter half but held RCW to only 10 points.

It was a strong bounce-back win for Class A's No. 4-ranked Bluejays, who lost to No. 1 Minneapolis North on Saturday 55-48.

CMCS now has three games left before postseason play gets underway.

Next up for the Bluejays is a 7:30 p.m. road game on Thursday against MACCRAY, a team they beat 73-35 earlier this season. That result can't necessarily be expected this time around, though, as the Wolverines have put forth a reinvigorated offense in recent days. MACCRAY has put up 190 points in their last two outings including a 102-point performance against ACGC on Monday.
