Wolves power past Warriors in preseason matchup

SHENZHEN, China -- Jimmy Butler and Karl Anthony-Towns each scored 16 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves improved to 2-0 in the preseason with a 111-97 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

Golden State led 55-50 at the half and owned an 81-79 lead after the third quarter.

With the Timberwolves trailing by one with 10:52 left in the game, Jamal Crawford forced a steal and hit Tyus Jones in stride for a layup for an 84-83 lead.

The Wolves outscored the Warriors 32-14 in the final quarter.

Minnesota finished 12 of 26 behind the 3-point arc.

Kevin Durant scored 20 points and had two rebounds for Golden State (0-2).
