Ridgewater pulled away for a three-on the road over Minnesota West on Wednesday night.

The Warriors hit just 17.9 percent on the night, but seven different players recorded a kill, led by Cami Sletta's 10.

"From an offensive perspective, we struggled at times with pass and set location, which had a hand in some of our attacking errors, the others were just undisciplined," Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth said.

Where the Warriors pulled away was on the defensive end, however. While not recording any service errors, Ridgewater had six solo blocks and 12 blocking assists.

"I was very pleased with our defensive presence at the net," Sussenguth said. "We were able to score off our blocking, as well as slow balls down to transition into our offense."

The Warriors remain just behind St. Cloud for first place in the MCAC south division.

"At this point of the season, in a tight divisional race, each set is important, so getting a road sweep if very valuable for us," Sussenguth said.
