Girls Basketball: Oman fills stat sheet in NLS victory

NEW LONDON — Eleven Wildcats scored as New London-Spicer downed Minnewaska 60-42 on Tuesday night.

Shea Oman led all scorers with 15 points and added six rebounds, six assists and four steals as NLS improved to 5-2 on the year.

Payton Mages had 13 points for the Wildcats, who led by 12 at halftime before putting the game away over the second half.

Emma Thorfinnson scored 14 points to lead the Minnewaska offense.

BOLD won its seventh straight game behind a big performance against Springfield on Tuesday.

Makenna Steffel had a big night for the Warriors, scoring 35 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Morgan Schmitz added seven points for BOLD, which is back in action next Wednesday against Concordia Academy at the Glencoe-Silver Lake holiday tournament.

Litchfield didn't literally shoot the lights out in Tuesday's game against Kimball but they sure tried to. The Dragons scored 39 of their 55 points on 3-pointers, in large part thanks to Kamri Driver who knocked down seven 3-pointers for her 21 points on the night.
