Boys Tennis: Litchfield edges NLS to earn first win

HUTCHINSON — The Litchfield boys tennis team rebounded from two singles losses with wins at 3- and 4-singles and two doubles victories to defeat New London-Spicer 4-3 on Tuesday in a Wright County Conference match at the McLeod County Fairgrounds.

Josh Prahl and Cody Rau both won straight-set singles victories — Prahl needing a first-set tiebreaker — and the Dragons (1-1, 1-2) picked up straight-set wins at 1- and 3-doubles.

The Wildcats’ Tyler Halvorson and Cody Treptau recorded solid wins at 1- and 2-singles.

The Dragons are scheduled to play next against Delano at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Litchfield.
