Prep golf: BOLD boys and girls win at BLHS

BLHS Triangular

Friday at Buffalo Lake

BOLD’s Cole Mertens was the medalist with a 43 and the Warriors won the BLHS Triangular with a 188.

Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart finished with a 199 and Sleepy Eye 215.

John Burgstahler and Jack Braderius both shot 49 for the Mustangs, and Coleman Van Der Hagen had a 47 for BOLD.

Both teams finished with a 214, and BLHS shot a 219.

BOLD’s Ashley Schmitz and BLHS’ Carly Schmolz each shot 51.

Sleepy Eye’s Emily Curtis was the medalist with 48.

Waconia’s Meagan Rachey, a sophomore, shot par 36 for medalist. Holy Family totaled 190 (4 low scores) for first with Litchfield at 191. Danielle Elam shot 41, the runner-up score, to lead the Dragons. New London-Spicer fired a 202 for sixth with Lauren Dietz coming in at 45 and Ellary Sweep at 47.

Back 9

Rachey was way out front again with a 34. Litchfield won the team on this side with a sparkling 182 led by Kennedy Sommerfeld at 45, Kelsey Wattenhofer 46, Hannah Norlin 47 and Kalley Spreiter 49.

NLS placed sixth. Sweep shot 49 and Dietz 50.
