The Tigers (2-2, 6-2) listed seven eighth- and ninth-graders in their lineup at Willmar but instead forfeited at three weights where they had youngsters.

Clay Carlson, an eighth-grader, edged Tech eighth-grader Graham Nistler 2-1 maintaining control through the third period.

Richards ended the night with a pin at heavy for Willmar.

“We’ve been sharper,” said Willmar coach Ed Oehlers, “but we’re training hard and looking forward to the second half of the season.”
