College Volleyball: Warriors rebound to win 3 straight

WILLMAR — Ridgewater College went 3-1 at its own invite Friday and Saturday. After losing to Central Lakes College in its opener, the Lady Warriors peeled off three straight victories.

“I was pleased with the progress we made each match,” commented Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth. “After our first match, we completely changed how we played. Our pace was quicker, our ball control was superior and we defended very well.

“Most importantly, we gained experience playing against good teams. We have plenty of work to do, but our potential to improve certainly showed.”

The team plays at Western Wisconsin in LaCrosse, Wis., on Friday and then opens MCAC Southern Division play on Saturday at Rochester.
