Baseball leap helps Fordham complete 9-run rally
Who said that baseball players couldn't fly and help win a college baseball game at the same time? There's video to prove it.
Fordham was down 9-1 when they began their comeback in a college baseball game against Iona Tuesday.
In the eight inning, Fordham had the bases full when an Iona outfield misplayed a single to center and Fordham's Brian Kownacki tried to score from first. As Kownacki approached the catcher with the ball at home plate, he jumped, soared airborne over the catcher and then touched home plate as he fell to the ground.
After scoring 9 runs in the bottom of the eighth, Fordham won the game 12-9.
Here's the call from WFUV's Gregg Caserta.
