North stings South in Northwoods All-Star Game

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. -- With help from shortstop Jason Leblebijian and four other Stingers -- first baseman Eduardo Gonzalez, designated hitter Sean Dwyer, and pitchers Ricky Knapp and Tanner Banks -- the North won the 17th annual Northwoods League All-Star Game 6-3 Monday.

Gonzalez (1-for-2) and Dwyer (1-for-5) hit back-to-back RBI singles in the seventh inning to give the North a 6-2 lead. Leblebijian was 0-for-2 and was hit by a pitch, Knapp induced a flyout to end the fifth in his appearance and Banks also induced a flyout to start the ninth in his appearance.

In all, 51 players saw action in the game.
