College Volleyball: Warriors clinch division title, will host regional

COON RAPIDS -- The Ridgewater volleyball team clinched the MCAC South Division championship with a four-game victory over Anoka Ramsey on Wednesday.

The Warriors won 25-23, 25-17, 23-25 and 25-16. The victory also ensured that Ridgewater will play host to the regional tournament at the end of the month.

On Wednesday, Alex Horton led the Warriors with 20 kills and Kelsey Stommes had 13. Stommes also had 3 ace blocks. Setter Tiffani Karbo had 47 assists.

Warriors head coach Joe Sussenguth said he was pleased with the victory but that the team needed to not let up.

"At this point of the season, we cannot afford to settle for doing less when our opposition is doing more," he said. Teams are going to give everything they have and Anoka-Ramsey did an outstanding job of competing tonight."
