College Football: NDSU, St. Thomas, MSU-Mankato keep title hopes alive
North Dakota State in the NCAA Football Championship Series, Minnesota State-Mankato in Division II and St. Thomas in Division III all won playoff games Saturday.
The Bison (11-1) will play in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Wofford (9-3) at the Fargodome after beating South Dakota State 28-3.
The unbeaten Mavericks (13-0) edged Montana Western State 17-10 to move into the semifinals where they will meet Valdosta State (10-2) at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Mankato.
St. Thomas will host Wisconsin-Oshkosh in a battle of two 13-0 teams on Saturday in the semifinals at 2 p.m. after overwhelming previously unbeaten Hobart 47-7.
