Public invited to review Monson Lake State Park management plan
SUNBURG -- Over the past six months, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources parks and recreation staff has held a number of public meetings and solicited public input that was used in the development of a management plan for Monson Lake State Park.
The draft management plan will be available for public review and comment from Tuesday, Feb. 5, through Friday, March 7.
The public also can learn more about the plan by attending an open house meeting at the Sunburg Community Center from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb.13. There will be a short presentation at the beginning of the meeting, but the public can stop in anytime. DNR staff will be available to answer questions and provide information on the planning process, natural resources, recreation opportunities and other topics related to the park. Light refreshments will be available.
A copy of the draft management plan and comment form will be available online by selecting Monson Lake State Park from the A-Z list at www.mnstateparks.info. Comments are due by Friday, March 7.
