Broman elected Let's Go Fishing with Seniors Chairman of Board
WILLMAR -- A Spicer man with experience serving non-profit organizations will lead Let's Go Fishing with Seniors as its new chairman of the board.
Gary Broman of Spicer was recently elected to serve as chairman of the board, the organization announced this week. Broman is a retired engineer who was employed with the Thiokal Corporation for over 30 years.
Broman is known in the area as a dedicated community volunteer. He has served on a number of non-profit boards including Habitat for Humanity and Sunbeam Association for Mission (Jamaica Boys Home).
He said he looks forward to working with Let's Go Fishing as it enters into a period of growth and expansion. "Let's Go Fishing is an outstanding program that is using an effective grassroots method to fill a void in communities throughout our state. I look forward to my involvement with Let's Go Fishing", said Broman.
He was welcomed to the new role by Joe Holm, founder and executive director of Let's Go Fishing. "The entire organization will benefit from Mr. Broman's experience, commitment to the community and his dedication to advancing the mission of Let's Go Fishing," stated Holm in a news release.
