Sibley to offer new programs

NEW LONDON -- Sibley State Park will host a Department of Natural Resources MinnAqua/Naturalist aide this summer that will be providing two educational programs in west central Minnesota. MinnAqua angling and aquatic education programming will be offered in west central Minnesota for youth organizations such as scouts, 4H groups, city park and recreation programs, bible camps, and at county parks.

MinnAqua is a DNR program that introduces youth and families to the natural world through fishing and related activities.

Naturalist programs and activities will also be offered at Sibley State Park with the intent of helping people understand the natural, historical and recreational resources in the park and surrounding area. MinnAqua programs can be scheduled by contacting Scott Moeller, MinnAqua education specialist, at 507-359-6049.
