WILLMAR — Patrick Courtney, Austin Rambow and Brandon Christenson all drove in sixth-inning runs to lead the Willmar Legion team to a 6-3 come back victory over St. Joseph in its regular-season finale on Monday at Bill Taunton Stadium.

Willmar fell behind 3-0 after three innings and entered the sixth down by two runs.

But after both Tyler Stegeman and Tony McCleary were hit by pitches, Courtney doubled in a run, Rambow doubled in two more and Christenson singled in another pair before scoring himself on a ground out.

Stegeman, who pitched the final two innings, set St. Joseph down in order in the seventh to get the win.

Willmar is 12-9 overall and opens the district playoffs against Dassel-Cokato at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Cold Spring.

Against St. Joseph, Courtney was 2-for-3 with a triple, the seventh-inning double and he also scored twice.
