MORRIS — After a slow start, the Paynesville aerial attack heated up and Morris/Chokio-Alberta couldn’t keep pace.

Bulldogs’ quarterback Matthew Quade hooked up with receiver Nick Dingmann for four touchdowns to rally Paynesville from two first-half deficits and to a 38-14 West Central Conference win on Friday at Big Cat Stadium in Morris.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 while the Tigers fell to 0-2.

Quade hit 28 of 38 passes for 232 yards, with Dingmann catching 7 for 169 yards. The pair connected on TDs of 16, 7, 79 and 17 yards.

Morris’ Isaac Wente carried 29 times for 162 yards and he scored both of the Tigers’ touchdowns in the first half.

Paynesville will take its unbeaten record to Olivia next Friday to face off against the BOLD Warriors, winners Friday over Minnewaska.
