Girls Tennis Roundup: NLS topples Mound Westonka

NEW LONDON — A sweep in doubles and a couple of straight-set wins in singles allowed New London-Spicer to topple Mound Westonka 5-2 Monday in a Wright County Conference match.

Wally Gustafson/Louise Lungstrom at No. 1, Reiley Ness/Megan Holme at No. 2 and Kylie Soine/Taylor Olson at No. 3 all won in straight sets in doubles for the Wildcats.

Also needing just the minimum two sets to earn a point in singles for NLS was No. 1 Lisa Dobbelaere and No. 4 Taylor Bengtson.

It was the fourth straight win for the Wildcats who are now 7-3 overall.
