Girls Tennis: Dragons shut out Redwood Valley

LITCHFIELD — A near sweep in every match enabled Litchfield to shut out Redwood Valley 7-0 Monday in a non-conference match.

Miriam Karre at No. 1, Natalie Nelson at No. 3 and Laney Huhner at No. 4 won in straight sets in singles, while the Dragons’ doubles tandems of Kalley Spreiter/Kennedy Sommerfeld at No. 1, Emily Smith/Alexa Desens at No. 2 and Kate Schumann/Grace Spanos at No. 3 also won in straight sets.

Lauren Knisley also won for Litchfield after losing the opening set at 2-singles.

Lisa Dobbelaere took a win at 1-singles, Taylor Bengstson earned a point at 4-singles and the 3-doubles team of Kylie Soine and Taylor Olson picked up the Wildcats’ third point.
