Boys basketball: Hutchinson downs Litch

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield boys basketball team fell behind by 10 points in the first half and never recovered, losing a Wright County Conference game to Hutchinson 66-55 Friday night.

The struggling Dragons fell to 1-2 in the conference and 4-6 overall.

Litchfield has lost four of its last five and the Dragons’ road ahead doesn’t get smoother.

Litchfield plays host to Annandale (8-3) on Tuesday. The Cardinals were ranked No. 10 in Class AA in the last state poll.

On Friday, the Dragons travel to play WCC rival Holy Family (12-1), which was ranked No. 3 in Class AAA. The Fire play 8-0 New London-Spicer at 2:30 p.m. today in New London.
