Girls Hockey: Spuds snap Stars’ winning streak at 3

MOORHEAD — River Lakes took on the Spuds at the Moorhead Sports Center on Friday evening.

The Stars put 50 shots on goal but fell 4-2 in the non-conference girls hockey game.

The loss snapped the Stars’ winning streak at three.

Shelby Teal had both River Lakes’ goals on assists from Jocelyn Kooiman in the second and Allie Stanger in the third, which had the Stars within a toal of the lead in the fifth minute.

Jenna Pereault’s second goal on an empty net came with two seconds left.
